The Product Manager carries out the strategic direction of assigned product lines and serves as an integral member of the Product Management Team. The product manager will be expected to work closely with the key functional areas, including Clinical, Regulatory, Development, Operations, and Sales to accomplish the goals and objectives for the product.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Launch new product lines by coordinating engineering, manufacturing, and distribution schedules
  • Sales and product support
  • Collect product feedback from surgeons and sales reps
  • Create and present training curriculum.
  • Responsible for evaluating product concepts and determining viability.
  • Upon concept approval, lead and drive product development cycle, including financial analysis, product validation, launch plan and market strategy.
  • Monitor new product performance by tracking sales, reporting performance and profit to management
  • Expense and Product Forecasting
  • Keep abreast of competition relative to their position in pricing, new products and new market developments, advertising, product acceptance, and customer opinion.
  • Contact “Opinion Leaders” who lecture on new technologies to inform them of our latest product information and to invoke input/participation.
  • Attend trade shows and periodically work with field sales personnel in order to stay in touch with sales and customers.
  • Manage troubleshooting and product difficulties to determine ongoing product problems, etc.
  • Drive product improvements and communicate product changes
  • Design trays and caddies for surgical systems

Qualifications

  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point)
  • Proven track record of team and project leadership & the ability to think strategically
  • Exceptional organizing and prioritizing skills
  • Thorough understanding of the steps necessary to bring a new product or package format/configuration to market
  • Ability to manage and track progress of projects in order to meet deadlines and budgets
  • Ability to influence people and functions
  • Ability to work autonomously and be held accountable for deliverables and overall performance
  • A team player with positive can-do attitude
  • A self-motivated and energetic person with an ability to work well under pressure
  • A commitment to the environment and socially responsible business
  • Two years of medical device, pharmaceutical, consumer product management experience or channel management, required
  • Two years of medical, pharmaceutical or consumer product sales experience, preferred
  • BS or BA degree required

Working Conditions

  • Ability and initiative to work in the following environments: ambiguous, fast paced, hands-on, and deadline dictated
  • Travel up to 20%
  • This position works in an open office environment. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit.

Physical Requirements

  • Attend surgeries and stand for long periods of time
  • Hand carry medical trays to show surgeons and/or deliver to facilities
  • Works in an office environment sitting for long periods of time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year

Education:
